Driving learner app features for theory, routes, and instructors

Start with free theory preparation, move into selected-centre practice and instructor bookings, then keep calmer navigation when you are driving independently.

Drivest navigation overview screen

Future learner preparation

Drivest is not only for people already taking lessons. It supports early theory, signs, Highway Code, and fines preparation before practical driving begins.

Theory in 32 languages with English Peek

Learners can study theory in a preferred language, then use English Peek to compare the same question in English before moving on.

Learn beyond theory

Drivest now covers Theory, Highway Code, Traffic Signs, and Fines and Penalties study flows instead of a single revision surface.

Practice routes by centre

Choose a selected test centre, repeat reconstructed practice routes, receive off-route alerts, and keep offline support where available.

New-driver navigation

Use low-stress route choice, road feature prompts, voice modes, and calmer destination guidance once you move beyond lessons.

Mode-aware home screen

The app home screen surfaces learner stage, current mode, confidence score, and resume flow before users pick a module.

Instructor marketplace

Discover independent instructor profiles, compare reviews and availability, and request lesson slots through the app.

Bookings and secure lesson payments

Track booking states, cancellations, refunds, and secure in-app lesson payment status without leaving the platform.

Analytics and readiness tracking

See theory progress, signs accuracy, route completion, confidence trends, and recommended next steps from real usage.

Instructor Hub and linked learners

Instructors can link existing learners, manage availability, review learner progress, and keep operating records together.

Parking companion

Search parking near a destination, review source confidence, and prefer free-first options before you arrive.

Notifications and trust controls

Receive booking and activity updates, restore or manage subscriptions, and review module-specific legal guidance when needed.

UK-wide coverage

Coverage includes UK test centres with enough live routes to make local practice worthwhile.

What users see on the app home screen

The current home screen is organised around the learner stage, current driving mode, confidence, and direct access to the modules people use most.

Mode-aware home card

The home card surfaces the current stage, active mode, confidence score, and a continue-where-you-left-off action so users can resume quickly.

Main modules

Theory

Theory revision remains a first-row home screen module with mastery tracking, topic quizzes, mock tests, bookmarks, and wrong-answer review.

Practice

Selected-centre practice routes stay visible as a main module with searchable test-centre access.

Navigation

Navigation is available directly from the home screen with low-stress routing and leave-now or timed trip setup.

Find Instructor

Instructor discovery is a visible primary module, not a buried marketplace extra, and it connects into bookings and availability.

Explore modules

Traffic Signs

Sign recognition and meaning revision is available from the explore area.

Highway Code

Highway Code study is shown as its own home screen module.

Hazard Perception Coming soon

The home screen already reserves space for Hazard Perception as a visible upcoming module.

Use Traffic Signs and Know Your Signs content to reinforce sign meaning and road-reading confidence.

Fines and Penalties learning

Practise

Practical learning stays centred on selected test centres and repeatable route training.

Road feature prompts

Receive advisory prompts around roundabouts, traffic lights, crossings, school areas, and similar mapped features.

Switch between voice guidance, alerts-only behaviour, or quieter driving support depending on context.

Parking companion

Search parking near the destination, review council and map-source signals, and choose options before arrival.

Arrival cues

Use destination-led parking and arrival reminders while still checking local signage before leaving the vehicle.

Book and teach

Marketplace features make instructors and lessons a visible part of the public product story.
